## Calibration is not optional here

Neonatal equipment is the category where a calibration drift does the most harm, because the patient cannot report it and the margins are measured in fractions of a degree. An incubator must be verified for temperature accuracy and distribution, not just switched on and observed. Ask for the record.

On phototherapy, the number that matters is irradiance at the mattress, and it falls off as the lamps age. A phototherapy unit that lights up is not necessarily a phototherapy unit that treats. It needs a radiometer reading, and it needs one periodically after installation too.

## Servicing

We service what we supply. For neonatal equipment we would rather sell a maintenance contract than a unit on its own, because this is the category where an unserviced machine quietly stops working properly long before it stops working.
