## What to check before buying an anesthesia machine
The machine matters less than what has been done to it. Ask for the leak test result at working pressure, the flow calibration record across the range, and confirmation that the alarms have been verified rather than simply silenced. Ask which parts were replaced and which were tested and kept — an O2 sensor cell and a bellows assembly are consumables with a service life, and a refurbishment that did not touch them has not finished.
Ask who calibrates it after installation, and who attends when it alarms at two in the morning. A refurbished workstation with no local biomedical engineer behind it is scrap metal with a warranty card.
## What we do
We survey the theatre, confirm the gas supply and power, deliver and position the unit, commission and calibrate it, and train the staff who will use it. Service and spare parts are handled by the same engineers who refurbished the machine.
