## What to inspect before buying a used ventilator
Ask for the test record, not the promise. A ventilator should be verified across the range it will actually be used at — tidal volumes at both ends of the scale, pressure support, and every alarm condition triggered and confirmed. Check the internal battery: it is a consumable, it degrades on the shelf as well as in use, and a unit that has sat in a container for six months may hold no charge at all.
Ask about the patient circuit and whether consumables are available locally. A ventilator that needs a circuit nobody stocks in Pakistan is a procurement problem every month for the rest of its life.
## Commissioning and support
We deliver, commission, calibrate and train. Service is handled by the engineers who refurbished the unit, which is the difference between a supplier and an importer.
